NEUROMED
will engage in a number of actions to promote and
improve the quality of research in participant labs.
Promote twinning and multilateral cooperation: during
the first 12 months of the project, NEUROMED will
organize workshops on each of its four areas of research.
The goal of the workshops will be to promote twinning
arrangements between emerging labs and established
centres of excellence in the EU countries.
Promote recruitment: NEUROMED will help centres in
the MPC to recruit young researchers to join their
staff.
Long and short term exchanges of research staff: NEUROMED
will promote exchanges of PhD students, post-docs and
permanent staff between the different labs participating
in the project.
Co-supervision of Ph.D. students: Ph.D students in
MPC centers will be co-supervised by staff in the center
and by supervisors belonging to EU labs.
Events: NEUROMED will organize workshops, lectures,
summer schools and in situ training in the areas
of research covered by the project. All events organized
by the project will be held in the MPC countries
and will bring together researchers from MPC and
EU labs.
Improve research infrastructure: N€UROMED will
organize the loan or donation of equipment to labs
in MPC and will help them to apply for national and
regional funding allowing additional purchases.
Improve MPC participation in the EU Framework Programme:
N€UROMED will help labs in MPC to participate
in the EU Framework Programme, making them aware
of opportunities as they arise, helping them to find
partners, and assisting them in project planning,
budgeting and administrative formalities.
