Dr. Miran Rakha , Representative of Suez Canal University in NEUROMED, is to be congratulated. As a noted and eminent professional in the field of Cardiovascular Neuroscience , she has recently been considered and nominated for recognition by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge , England . She has been selected as one of the IBC's TOP 100 Scientists – 2010 . Of the many thousands of biographies from a wide variety of sources investigated by the research and editorial departments of the IBC, a select few are those of individuals who, in their belief, have made a significant enough contribution in their field to engender influence on a local, national or international basis.
This accolade is credited to those individuals that have fulfilled a standard of merit in the eyes of their peers that is beyond the norm. As a symbol of personal achievement in their field for the common good, it is a lasting tribute to that which can be achieved by a very select few for the benefit of the many.
As a holder of this distinction, she can be assured of her place in our history and be gratified that her work has not only been noticed but recognized as outstanding. In any one year, only one hundred of the world's best scientists, both famous and uncelebrated, from all disciplines will be able to populate this exclusive list. These are people whose daily work makes a difference, not just people who populate the headlines. It is henceforth decreed that she should be on this list for 2010, but as bearer of this honour she will be recorded in perpetuity in the halls of the International Biographical Centre. She has to be proud to know that her name is to take its rightful place. On behalf of the NEUROMED Consortium , we are very pleased to be able to publish this news of Dr. Miran Rakha , and hope that she feels proud of the influence she has on her colleagues and friends. It is only left for us to offer our sincere congratulations.
